Shop & Scan is an exciting membership club, that rewards you for your grocery shopping.

Our market research survey collects shopping information from over 5,000 households across Ireland and Northern Ireland each week. This information is put into reports which brands use to understand how popular the products they make are.

Shop & Scan participation is completely free and straightforward. As a panel member, you'll scan barcodes of all your grocery purchases using the mobile app. Every week you will receive reward points which can be exchanged for a range of vouchers. You'll also have access to competitions and prize draws as well as other member benefits.

Your information will be treated confidentially, and you will only be contacted in relation to your panel membership and not for any other reason.

The research is conducted by Numerator Ireland Limited (trading as Worldpanel by Numerator), a Kantar Group company, an independent market research company based in Dublin. Kantar is an MRS Company Partner and as such complies with the MRS Code of Conduct. Kantar Ireland Limited also strictly adheres to the standards of the European Society for Opinion and Market Research (ESOMAR) and The Data Protection Act 2018.

Once we check your details and invite you to join, you will receive an invitation code via email.

However, we need to keep the Shop & Scan panel as representative as possible of different types of people across the country, so there may not be a vacancy straight away.

We aim to maintain a diverse panel and may invite you to join other panels if you are not selected for Shop & Scan.

No. We never share any of your personal information with third parties.

You are welcome to be a Shop & Scan member for as long as you want to.

Reward points will be added to your account on Monday the week after you have sent through your shopping information. If you skip a week, you will not get points for that week.

If you are sending your shopping information every week you could earn around £100 every year. You will have chances to earn even more through our online questionnaires, competitions, prize draws, and bonus point campaigns.

Yes, please notify us through the ‘Time Off’ option on your main dashboard to let us know when you’re not able to scan.

To maximise your reward points, send us your shopping information after all trips you have made. You will not earn points for the weeks you didn’t send through your shopping information.

Absolutely! If you didn't shop at a given week, just record "Nothing Bought" on the app and your get reward points.
